About Us
Metso is a world-leading innovator in sustainable technology, complete solutions, and services for aggregate production, mineral processing, and metal refining. We are more than a supplier – we are a partner for positive change.
With us, you will be part of an international network of dedicated specialists who together drive the green transition in the mining and process industries. We develop technology that enables the responsible, energy-efficient, and circular use of the earth's resources.
At Metso, you have the freedom to explore new ideas, grow in your role, and contribute to projects that truly impact the world. This is your chance to help shape the future of sustainable industry – while raising the bar for what is technically possible.
Due to an increased order intake, we are now looking for experienced and passionate engineers in electrical, instrumentation, or automation to strengthen our team in the EIA Engineering department in Skellefteå. As a Chief Engineer with us, you will play a central role in our projects – where your technical expertise makes a difference! Welcome to Metso!
Your Responsibilities
In the role of Chief Engineer, you will be a key person in our customer projects – focusing on technical leadership within EIA. You will have the opportunity to follow the entire chain of the project, from tendering and technical solutions to commissioning and handover to the customer, providing both oversight and the ability to influence.
The work is varied, and you will work with project management, product/system design, instrumentation, and technical specifications for procurement. You will coordinate the technical work within your discipline, ensure quality in deliveries, and collaborate closely with other technical areas in the projects. Our local office is also responsible for certain proprietary products and solutions – which means you will work closely with technology development and contribute to continuous improvements.
Although the role does not involve personnel responsibility, you are a natural technical leader and guide within the team. You report to the head of the EIA Engineering department and work alongside an experienced, engaged team where collaboration and technical curiosity are at the forefront.
Your Profile
We believe you are an engineer by background – likely in electrical, automation, or instrumentation – and that you have several years of experience in design within industrial projects. You are familiar with both technical design tools and the Office suite, and you are used to working in an environment where multiple disciplines collaborate towards the same goal.
You appreciate structure, are curious about technology, and have the ability to see solutions instead of getting stuck in problems. Communication comes naturally – both in Swedish and English – and you are accustomed to navigating technical environments and international contexts. Travel related to projects is seen as a natural and rewarding part of the role.
